The organiser of the Suffolk Business Exhibition says it will have to add outdoor elements due to overwhelming exhibitor booking rates this year.
The Ipswich and Suffolk Small Business Association (ISSBA) claims that, since booking went live in February, space for only one stand is left in the main hall, with minimal space left in a secondary hall. The event takes place on 28 April at Trinity Park events centre in Ipswich, which has roughly 1,000sqm of indoor exhibition space.
“We’ve been organising the show for four years now, and it has steadily got bigger each time,” says ISSBA chairperson, Kim Brown. “We’ll have to look at using a courtyard space which bridges between the two halls if exhibitor demand continues at this rate.”
Brown says one potential solution is to put a marquee in the courtyard so that local car dealerships could showcase their cars.
“As for the future of the show, Trinity Park remains the largest venue in the area. Because the exhibition is all about local businesses, we’ll have to keep being creative with the space options available for the foreseeable future,” adds Brown.
