Tarsus Group has announced the acquisition of a shareholding in Montgomery India, representing a significant investment in the country’s exhibition sector.
Both parties have said the partnership offers benefits ensuring resources are available for the long-term development of an event portfolio including a number of new trade show launches.
Tarsus Group’s managing director Douglas Emslie says: “The Indian economy has been experiencing unprecedented growth in recent times and we are excited by the prospects of accelerating the development of new events in addition to our existing labels presence. As an established player, Montgomery India will be an excellent partner in achieving these future goals."
Montgomery India, a subsidiary of London based Montgomery International, has already established a strong presence organising events targeting India's burgeoning food and hospitality, construction and intensive animal husbandry industries. These include IFE India, Interbuild India and VIV India.
Montgomery’s chairman Christopher Newton says: “India is an exciting market with incredible opportunities for the exhibition sector. Montgomery International has five years experience of working in India and we are excited about developing a new relationship with Tarsus.”
